Gera Lario provides a great base whether you want an active or more relaxed holiday.  Parasending, canoeing, windsurfing and kitesurfing can all be arranged locally, with lessons available if you are a first timer.  Tandem-parasending is done by a number of companies, and they depart for the hills behind Gera Lario on a almost daily basis before flying down to the green by the lakeside.  For a more relaxed time there are plenty of places along the waters edge to dip your feet in, or sit under the shade of a tree to enjoy the view.  The village also has an outdoor pool which opens in the summer months (subject to charge). Two main tributaries near Gera Lario feed fresh alpine water into Lake Como so the water is very refreshing!
