Eating out

There are plenty of options for both take-away ('porta via') and eating out.

In the village Bar Pace does lovely salads, sandwiches and of course ice-cream! The Albergo a little further up the street have great pizza which you can take-away, or a more extensive menu if you would like to dine in. They have a nice terrace and offer a relaxed traditional dining experience.

Sorico, the next village north on the lake has a great pizzeria - La Spluga, again offering a take-away option. The Biffi restaurant has a wider selection on the menu (as well as pizza). Another good option here is the Hotel Europa; where a husband, wife and son team offer home-made pasta as a speciality. We have yet to see a menu, they prefer to let you know what they have made fresh that day!

Behind Gera Lario, on the road to Montemezzo is a fantastic restaurant La Brenta. It is a short drive uphill and the views are spectacular!

South towards Domaso, about a 20 minute walk away, is La 5 Casa, which offers some lovely lakeside dining, in a romantic atmosphere.
